AI-Powered Business Central Automation

Your BC on autopilot

We build production-grade automation on top of Business Central — processing documents, routing approvals, syncing systems, and keeping your team informed without lifting a finger.

What We Automate in BC

If it's repetitive in BC, we automate it

Email Processing

Extract invoice data, route enquiries, process order emails, create ERP records — all automatically from your inbox.

Document Workflows

Approval routing, digital signing, structured filing, archival, and distribution — without any manual steps.

Data Synchronisation

Keep every system up to date in real time — inventory, customers, orders, and financials always consistent.

Report Generation

Scheduled reports pulled from multiple systems, formatted, and delivered to stakeholders automatically.

Customer Notifications

Order confirmations, shipping updates, payment reminders, and follow-ups sent automatically via WhatsApp or email.

Approval Workflows

Purchase requisitions, expense approvals, and document sign-offs routed, reminded, and tracked automatically.

How It Works

From trigger to outcome

Every automation follows the same fundamental pattern — but the power is in how intelligently we handle each step.

01

Trigger

Something happens — an email arrives, a form is submitted, a record is created, a schedule fires, or a threshold is crossed.

02

Process

Data is extracted, transformed, validated, and enriched — often with AI assistance for intelligent parsing and decision-making.

03

Act

Records are created in your systems, notifications are sent, approvals are triggered, and people are informed only when they need to be.

04

Monitor

Every run is logged. Errors are caught, retried, and escalated if needed. You always know what's running and what's not.

Our Approach

Right tool, right job

We're platform-agnostic. We choose the best automation approach for your specific systems and requirements.

API-First

When your systems have APIs, we connect them directly — fastest, most reliable, zero fragility. Preferred for all modern platforms.

RPA for Legacy

For systems without APIs, we use Robotic Process Automation to mimic human actions — making even 20-year-old software automatable.

Custom Code

When no off-the-shelf tool fits, we write it. Python scripts, custom middleware, or bespoke integrations — whatever the job needs.

How It Works in Business Central

Two automations, explained

How Business Central bank reconciliation automation works

Bank reconciliation automation imports your electronic bank statement, matches each line to open Business Central ledger entries, and posts the reconciliation — turning a manual, hours-long job into a scheduled task. It relies on standard statement formats: CAMT.053 (an ISO 20022 XML statement) and MT940 (a long-standing SWIFT text statement) that almost every bank can export.

01

Import the statement

The CAMT.053 or MT940 file from your bank is pulled in automatically on a schedule or via a bank feed.

02

Match transactions

Each statement line is matched to open bank-account ledger entries in Business Central using amount, date and reference rules.

03

Post & flag exceptions

Matched lines are reconciled and posted; anything ambiguous is flagged for a person to review, so nothing is posted blindly.

How we add AI and Copilot to Business Central

AI is added to Business Central through AL extensions and APIs that call a language model — Microsoft's built-in Copilot, or models such as OpenAI GPT, Google Gemini or Anthropic Claude. The key is grounding: the model is given your live BC data (and only the data a user is allowed to see) so its answers and actions are accurate rather than generic. We use it to read and post documents, draft emails, analyse purchase-order risk, and answer plain-language questions about your data.

Common Questions

Automation FAQ

We build comprehensive error handling — retry logic, failure alerts, fallback procedures, and detailed logging. Manual intervention is always possible. Automation is typically more reliable than manual processes prone to human error.

Yes. If your system has an API, database access, or file export capability, we can automate it. For systems without any of these, RPA (robotic process automation) can mimic human actions to integrate even the oldest software.

Automation removes tedious, repetitive work — not people. Your team gets to focus on higher-value, more engaging work. Our clients consistently report that employees welcome automation once they understand it makes their jobs more interesting.

Thorough testing with real data, user acceptance testing with your team, parallel runs comparing automation to manual output, and data validation at every step. We don't go live until you're fully confident.

They are standard electronic bank statement formats. CAMT.053 is an ISO 20022 XML statement; MT940 is a long-established SWIFT text statement. Most banks can export one or both, and Business Central can import them to match and post transactions automatically during reconciliation.

Yes. We add AI through AL extensions and APIs that call Microsoft Copilot or models such as OpenAI GPT, Gemini or Anthropic Claude, grounded on your live BC data. It can read and post documents, draft responses, analyse risk, and answer plain-language questions — securely, respecting each user's permissions.
